  • Turmeric/Curcumin (95% Extract)

Curcumin is the amazing active compound that is found within the turmeric root. It may be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence, IF you take the correct, absorbable form (more on that in a minute). Curcumin extract has major benefits for both your body and brain.

    My Top 5 Curcumin Benefits

    1. Natural Anti-Inflammatory: Scientists now believe that chronic, low-level inflammation plays a major role in almost every chronic, Western disease. This includes heart disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, Alzheimer's and various degenerative conditions. 1-3 Curcumin's anti-inflammatory benefits are so powerful, that it matches the effectiveness of some anti-inflammatory drugs, without the side effects. 4-6
    2. Powerful Antioxidant: It helps neutralize free radical damage, that causes aging.7 Additionally, it also boosts the body's own antioxidant enzymes.8
    3. Improves Brain Function: It helps increase brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which delays or even reverses many brain diseases and age-related decreases in brain function, including Alzheimer's disease.9,10,14
    4. Lowers Heart Disease: Heart disease is the #1 killer in the world. Curcumin's benefits (anti-inflammation and antioxidant) has been shown to lower the risk of heart disease and even reverse it.11 Several studies suggest that Curcumin leads to improvements in endothelial function12 in the heart and can lower the risk of a heart attack by 65%.13
    5. Avoid & Treat Cancer: It has been studied as a beneficial herb in cancer treatment, by causing death to cancerous cells and reducing tumor growth.15,16

WARNING - The Major Problem With Curcumin

As great as these benefits are, the biggest problem with Turmeric/Curcumin is that it's poorly absorbed. Which means, if you don't utilize the correct form and dose, you won't get the positive benefits and you'll just be wasting time and money.

Almost all Curcumin extracts (even those with a minimum 95% extract) are only 50% absorbed. So you'll have to take more than double the amount to get the optimal benefits.

3 Most Potent, Highest Absorbable & Clinically Validated Forms Of Curcumin

This is why we've utilized the 3 most potent and highest absorbable Curcumin extracts in the world - Patented & Clinically Proven.

Curcumin C3 Reduct® (standardized min 95% tetra-hydro curcuminoids ) - One of the most active forms of Curcumin with 95% tetra-hydro curcuminoids, which is pre-converted and goes to work immediately.

Curcumin C3 Complex® (standardized min 95% total curcuminoids) - Is a patented and clinically evaluated “Bioprotectant” composition of three Curcuminoids [Curcumin, Demethoxycurcumin (DMC) and Bisdemethoxycurcumin (BDMC)]. It's the most studied and clinically validated Curcumin extract on the market. This is more of a slow-release form, over 12 hours.

BCM-95® Bio-Curcumin® - Is clinically validated to have a 97% absorption rate and almost 9x higher bioavailability in the blood.. The end result is high blood concentrations, in less time. Thus, the positive effects are felt faster at an even lower dose, extended over 8 hours.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Two things to remember here [1] You want to make sure that you ONLY use the highest extract of min 95% [2] Because Curcumin isn't absorbed well, sure only the clinically researched, most highly absorbable forms which is a combination of Curcumin C3 Reduct®, Curcumin C3 Complex® and BCM-95® Bio-Curcumin®
  • Organic Ginger Extract (5% gingerols)

Ginger contains numerous beneficial compounds, including gingerols, which have free-radical scavenging and anti-inflammatory properties.17

Leukotrienes contribute to dangerous inflammatory reactions. Specific compounds in ginger have been found to inhibit enzymes that produce leukotrienes.18,19

Ginger also works to reduce inflammation by affecting several other compounds and cellular pathways, including:

    1. Reduction in levels of inflammatory mediators, such as tumor necrosis factor-alphaC-reactive protein, interleukin-1b and interleukin-6.20-22
    2. Inhibition of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) pathways, which are involved in the initiation of chronic inflammation.20-22
IMPORTANT NOTE: As with most ingredients, absorbability is a major issue. Unfortunately, most ginger is heat processed using high-heat methods, which destroys almost all the benefits. However, Inflammation Minimizer™ Ginger is naturally dried and not subjected to additional heat. This process ensures the presence of active compounds that are beneficial to the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in maximum benefits.

  • AprèsFlex® Boswellia Serrata (65% extract)

One of the problems with aging is higher levels of 5-LOX. 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) is a member of the lipoxygenase family of enzymes. Excess levels of the enzyme 5-LOX cause inflammatory responses that have been linked to common effects in aging individuals (such as joint pain).

Unfortunately, the typical diet most people eat these days, causes an over production of the 5-LOX enzyme. This further increases pro-inflammatory compounds, which attacks the joints (arthritic pain), arterial walls (poor blood flow), skin (wrinkles), hair (balding) and other tissue.

The good news is that an extract of the Indian plant Boswellia serrata has been shown to neutralize 5-LOX. Used for centuries to help with inflammatory factors, Boswellia acts as a natural 5-LOX inhibitor, intervening at the cellular level to block its unwanted negative effects. Clinical studies reveal that a compound contained in Boswellia called AKBA (3-O-acetyl-11-keto-ß-boswellic acid)23,24 is the key to its beneficial action.

The problem is that Boswellia is poorly absorbed into the blood.25 Because of this, Inflammation Minimizer™ utilizes a patent-pending, standardized form of Boswellia called AprèsFlex®. AprèsFlex® absorbs into the blood 52% more than other forms of Boswellia extracts.25

IMPORTANT NOTE: Once again, absorbability and bioavailability of ingredients is what counts the most. This is why we use a 65% extract and the special form of AprèsFlex®, which is absorbed 52% better than other Boswellia Serrata products on the market. NEVER purchase the "root", always the extract!

  • Green Tea Extract (Theaflavin) (98% poly, 50% EGCG)

Green tea extract has numerous health benefits, one of them being the powerful anti-inflammatory effects due to the Theaflavin, polyphenols and EGCG.

  • White Willow Bark (salicin) 25% salicylic acid

White willow bark is known as "nature's aspirin" and has been used for centuries as a pain reliever (joint) and anti-inflammatory.26 The active ingredient that causes the benefits of willow bark is salicin. Inflammation Minimizer™ uses the highest extract, at 25% salicylic acid. This means a lower dose is required, but resulting in more positive benefits.

  • Pycnogenol® (97% Extract)

Over 40 years of research and 400 scientific studies have confirmed what our ancestors long suspected, Pycnogenol (a patented pine bark extract) has incredible and numerous health benefits.

Pycnogenol is a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and antihistamine, which helps:

    • supports healthy blood flow and circulation by strengthening the walls of your blood vessels and capillaries
    • promotes flexible joints by reducing inflammation
    • fights the free-radicals that cause disease
    • reduces the symptoms of allergies including asthma and hay-fever

In addition, pine bark extract has benefits for skin care, eye care, respiratory function, and women’s health.

It has a positive effect on cognitive health and memory. Additionally, it's even been shown to increase athletic performance.

    Joint Pain & Inflammation

As many health benefits Pycnogenol has, I want to focus on joint pain and inflammation. The cushioning cartilage in your joints become damaged through wear and tear which causes inflammation and pain. This happens even faster for those that exercise.

Pycnogenol can ease these symptoms as it is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Studies have shown that taking 30 - 150 mg Pycnogenol daily helps support the mobility and flexibility of joints and reduces aches and pains.27

Studies have also shown that Pycnogenol can have a positive effect on arthritis and osteoarthritis.28,29

Pycnogenol® fights inflammation by switching off a central inflammation-generating system and reducing the production of inflammatory cytokine molecules.29-31

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is one of my favorite supplements because it has so many health benefits. The minimum daily dose for joint health and anti-inflammation is 100 mg, with the correct optimal and clinical dose being 200 mg daily -- which is the exact dose in Inflammation Minimizer™. It's also important to point out that we use a 97% extract. Most companies use "dead" root or 50% of less. Thus, with Inflammation Minimizer™ you're getting the optimal dose at the best value!

  • Astragin® Astragalus

Astragin® is a patented form of Astragalus, with over 25 clinical studies. Astragalus is from one of the most powerful immune-building plants on the planet.

It's an "adaptogen", which means it activates when you're under stress to lower cortisol levels, to help reduce inflammation. Additionally, it helps increase the absorption of other nutrients by 92%. 32

Astragalus works by suppressing NF-kB and AP-1 signaling pathways, which causes inflammation.

  • Trans-Resveratrol (50% Extract)

Best known as a compound found in red grapes and red wine, resveratrol helps promote and maintain optimal health and longevity.34 Inflammation Minimizer™ contains trans-resveratrol, the form abundant in red wine, which is well-absorbed and stable.35,36

Resveratrol also promotes healthy insulin sensitivity, encourages enhanced mitochondrial function, supports a healthy inflammatory response, and has demonstrated beneficial cardiovascular activity.37-39

    Potent Anti-Inflammatory

Aside from its indirect antioxidant effects on inflammation, resveratrol also affects very specific inflammatory processes. For one, it blocks inflammatory COX enzymes, which are also the main target of commonly used painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs like Motrin).40

However, its effects run much deeper than these conventionally targeted enzymes. Resveratrol also blocks the following key anti-inflammatory factors::

    • NF-kB pathway, one of the most important and deeply rooted triggers of inflammation in the body.41
    • HMGB1, a protein made by immune cells that causes inflammation and tissue damage in autoimmune diseases like arthritis.42
    • STAT3, which contributes to problems in most people with chronic inflammation, autoimmune diseases such as IBD, obesity, cancer, or Th1/Th17 dominance.43
IMPORTANT NOTE: The one problem with Resveratrol is that it's absorbed poorly. Thus, the most absorbable form is the "trans" version, which is what Inflammation Minimizer™ uses. Additionally, numerous studies have shown that combining Resveratrol with Quercetin, creates a special synergy - improving absorption, enhancing benefits and further reducing inflammation.43-45 Which is why we've also added Quercetin into the formula (see below).

  • Quercetin Phytosome

Quercetin is a bioflavonoid that supports healthy immune function and optimal inflammatory response, while also promoting cardiovascular and endothelial health, and more.46,47

One of the primary ways quercetin works, is by blocking important inflammatory substances and pathways (including COX-2 and CRP), similar to NSAID drugs (but without the negatives). It also blocks the production of prostaglandins, one of the key mediators of the inflammatory response.48,49

Inflammation Minimizer™ provides quercetin encased in a plant-derived phytosome delivery system, which makes absorption easier: the quercetin in our formula is up to 50 times more bioavailable than a dose of standard quercetin.46,47

And as stated above, there's a special synergy between Quercetin when combined with Resveratrol. These two, especially when combined with the other ingredients in Inflammation Minimizer™, promotes dramatic anti-inflammatory benefits.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I've been taking Quercetin for years. It's a fantastic ingredient, almost as great as Curcumin extract. However, the problem with both is the poor absorbability factor. This is why Inflammation Minimizer™ uses the phytosome version, which is up to 50x more bioavailable. Why waste your time and money using other products?
  • Uncaria Tomentosa (cat’s claw extract; 2.3% pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids)

Cat’s claw is rich in three major groups of chemical compounds: alkaloids, terpenoids, and flavonoids. It works by:

    • Decreases inflammatory molecules TNF-α and NF-κB.50-52
    • Blocks the release of iNos, an enzyme that creates free radicals as part of the immune response, which causes inflammation.53
    • Blocks the release of COX-1 and COX-2, enzymes that play crucial roles in inflammation and pain.54,55

    Arthritis & Osteoarthritis

Cat’s claw’s anti-inflammatory effects have been commonly used to treat both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. The different compounds in cat’s claw act together to achieve these effects.56

Mitraphylline blocks the release of inflammatory molecules such as IL-1, IL-4, and IL-17, and TNF-alpha.57

Other pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids cause the release of a currently unidentified immune regulating factor that reduces arthritic joint pain.58,59

IMPORTANT NOTE: You do NOT want to use the "bark" or "root" forms, because they are basically "dead" and do NOT contain any of the active alkaloids (pentacyclic oxindole (POA) and harpagoside). Also, you want it to be free of and WITHOUT the tetracylic oxindole alkaloids (TOA)
  • PARACTIN® Andrographis 10:1

ParActin™ is a patented standardized natural extract of Andrographis Paniculata, clinically proven to promote healthy inflammatory response and promote healthy brain and joint function by naturally invigorating the PPAR gamma receptor, reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines that cause pain and redness from everyday activities.

Inflammation Minimizer's patented blend of these andrographolides helps suppress damaging inflammatory cytokines and eases symptomatic discomfort associated with joint pain, stiffness and swelling.60-62
